Some of the major advanced development in mobiles that you can see in 2020 are 5G support, virtual assistants, foldable phones. In the latest development, TCL presents the cheapest foldable 5G smartphone. The company made a demonstration of their upcoming foldable mobile phone in CES 2020. It is expected that this phone will hit the market by the end of the year. What makes it most promising smartphone is its price. It’s going to be the cheapest foldable smartphone.
According to Stephen Streit, TCL’s global marketing manager, this phone will prove to be the cheapest 5G smartphone. Currently, Motorola’s Razor flip mobile phone is the cheapest with a price of $1500, however, TCL claims to offer price even below $1500.
Although, TCL claims to capture the market by offering low price but its specs may not be as good as other companies like Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola are offering. This phone has no front camera so forget about selfie. However, it does four cameras at the back. You can also position at any point, unlike other foldable phones which can only be positioned at a fixed point.
TCL also need to focus on software as it seems slow. TCL is best known for its TV that offer customers high-quality TV at low prices. However, TCL is not only focusing foldable technology on mobiles, the company plans to test on other smart home products as well. TCL plans to establish itself in this new mobile technology standard by offering low price 5G foldable phone. However, its price, name, and launch date are not confirmed yet. As TCL presents the cheapest foldable 5G smartphone, if their idea is successful, we can see many more mobiles in the future as well as a low price.
