Choosing Best from the Best: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro & iPhone 11 Pro Max

If you are planning to switch to iPhone or upgrade your current iPhone to iPhone 11, then you might be confused among three iPhone 11 phones, iPhone 11, iPhone Pro, and iPhone Pro Max. You are not the only person who is in trouble to decide which one is better than others. In this article, we’ll look at some distinguishing features of all three new mobiles of iPhone that make all of them different from each other and special as well.


If we look at how all three phones measure up, we find that all three-share same fancy look. Their sizes are:

  • iPhone 11: 75.7×150.9×8.33mm
  • iPhone 11 Pro: 71.4x144x8.1mm
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max: 77.8x158x8.1mm

Although, all three phones look different in size but are different in terms of sides. iPhone Pros have stainless sides, whereas iPhone 11 has an aluminum side.


In terms of display, iPhone 11 has a larger display but of lower quality. Another important aspect in terms of display is the use of LCD technology in iPhone 11 whereas iPhone Pros feature OLED tech which is much better than LCD due to its stunning look and brilliant colors.

All three phones have same front camera of 12 MP, f/2.2 aperture camera, which is an upgraded version of previous phones where 7MP front camera was being used. However, the difference comes when we look at the rear camera. iPhone 11 has a dual rear camera whereas iPhone Pros have a triple camera. The comparison of rear cameras is as under:

As it is obvious, camera vise iPhone Pros are much better than iPhone 11.  In recording videos, all three phones record in 4K at up to 60fps.

Battery Life:

iPhone Pros take the advantage of better battery life over iPhone 11. iPhone 11 has 1 hour more battery life than iPhone XR, iPhone Pro has 4 hours more battery life than iPhone XS, and iPhone Pro Max has 5 hours more battery life than iPhone XS Max. The video playback has enhanced as well with iPhone 11, 17 hours, iPhone Pro up to 18 hours, and iPhone Pro Max up to 20 hours.

As far as charging is concerned, for fast charging via a 12W or higher power adaptor, iPhone 11 users need to buy one, as their phone only comes with a 5W power adaptor whereas iPhone Pros come with this adaptor.

Sound & Biometrics:

All models feature spatial audio and with Dolby Atmos’ support. Sound quality is the same in all three phones. Face ID feature is 30 percent in all three phones as compared to last year’s iPhones.

Water resistance:

All three phones have been rated highly IP68 water-resistant. However, with Pros, you can dive into 4 meters of water and still can take great photos with scuba diving, according to Apple.


Purple and green colors have made their debut this year. While other colors black, white, red, and yellow are the same as iPhone XR.


Storage-wise all three phones share the same features.
